Brunswick RENEWAL Levy

Passing this renewal levy will ensure that our district can continue to provide the excellent programs and services it currently provides. This levy is the difference between financial stability and financial uncertainty.

• This levy does not increase taxes. We are voting to renew a levy originally passed in 1994.  The district is not asking for a pay raise but instead requesting our community to continue supporting district funds currently being collected which maintain the operations of our school district.

• Funds from this levy will be used to operate the district. This money is part of the budget that pays for operational expenses  such as employee salaries and benefits, educational materials, heating and cooling, electricity - it pays to keep the doors of our schools open.​

• There is a 12.5% tax credit associated with this levy. It is grandfathered into a state program for levies passed before 2014. That means of the $3.2 million the levy raises, the state pays for approximately $386,000 of that total. If it does not pass this November, we will lose the tax credit and the credit is not offered for any new levies in the future.
